Gull Lake View

Six courses, one family resort — the Midwest's best-kept stay-and-play bargain.

The place

Family-run for generations, Gull Lake View has quietly assembled the biggest golf cluster in southwest Michigan: six courses within minutes of each other, anchored by Stoatin Brae, the treeless hilltop links from the Renaissance Golf Design team that plays firm, breezy and unlike anything else in the region. Bedford Valley brings old-school championship bones, the two Stonehedge courses charm through hardwoods, and the original East and West layouts keep the extra rounds coming. On-site villas line the fairways, the packages bundle everything, and Kalamazoo's brewery scene handles the nightlife twenty minutes away.

Why it wins

Southwest Michigan's oldest golf resort clusters six courses — capped by the hilltop links of Stoatin Brae — around on-site villas at package prices that feel typed a decade ago. Maximum rounds, minimum spend, zero drive time between tees.

Booking notes

Golf-and-villa packages are the whole play here — 36-a-day itineraries price out remarkably well. Protect a calm-morning slot for Stoatin Brae; the hilltop wind is real by afternoon.
